Reading all of the reports about Vardy getting death threats and his family being cut up in by some prick make me really question human nature.

Football makes you laugh and it makes you cry. Some characters within the game can wind you up and piss you off. Emotions can run high.

Regardless of this, to threaten the safety and wellbeing of someone and their family is inexcusable. Some people go too far and need to take a long hard look at themselves.

Seems the threats got a positive effort from him on the pitch though didn't it?

He's making so much more of an effort.

Perhaps like some parents make idle threats to their children when they aren't being good, claudio should have threatened to take away his energy drink or something.

Maybe, just maybe the death threats had nothing to do with any perceived increase in 'effort'

you missed the point. Death threats are always wrong and absurd of course, nobody would think otherwise and therefore the thread discussion is dead. However given a wider view, threats are part of "motivations" which have been the discussion regarding the lack of effort for certain players.

There's no justification at all, ever, for threats of violence such as these. It's simply moronic. Even if you think it has in some small way 'improved' the effort of the man (and I don't, it was never anything to do with effort as far as I'm concerned but many other psychological and tactical problems), nobody should ever take any positives from anything like this.

Whether or not such threats are genuine, and we can all agree they were more than likely the ramblings of brainless, pubescent idiots, it shouldn't matter. The second we begin to accept this as normal or, indeed, anything other than abhorrent, we open the door slightly more to those few nut jobs who really would enact such violence all in the name of, what is essentially, just a game.

That is the post of a plank. The death threats aren't death threats, no-one really is going to kill him for any reason, still if you can't understand that then it's no wonder that my post went way over your head just as most of my posts do. I think you must be 2 foot 3.

So there is no such thing as a death threat?

Once the act is committed it is no longer a threat.

You're confusing death threat with empty threat.

I don't believe for a moment that Vardy thinks his life is in danger. If he did whoever made the threat would be arrested by now. Anyway this is a pointless thread that we should now let die (and that wasn't a death threat btw).
