Ranieri Sacked

Rob Dorsett, John Percy.... People who have good links within the club. There has been enough in the media to know that there has been a problem.
Slate the players all you like but if the messages you recieve on the training ground are utterly bewildering how the **** do you manage to perform.
It is interesting that last year the squad/team were largely left to continue as they had from the season before. This season the tinkering starts and guess what...
I love Claudio , I really do but he had lost the players. They had lost complete faith.
It doesn't take a Manager to tell you to get back in position or actually run around the pitch.

It was pretty inevitable and clear there were divisions within the team and backroom staff but still really shocked and saddened that our most successful manager has been sacked.

Surprised by timing, and I the players haven't exactly covered themselves in glory but for the sake of our club let's hope this galvanises us to survive and then kick some of the unsavoury bastards out and rebuild.

Thank you Claudio for giving me the greatest season I could ever wish for.

I agree. The blame lies with the players and the manager.
Sad times but Leicester City lives on.

The vast majority of players have been rotten to the core this season. But let's not gloss over the fact that Ranieri's performance this season has also been completely inept. He had to go and this is the right decision for the club.

The correct (but sad) decision taken too late to matter.

Hello Leicester, welcome back, I missed you. Oh, and goodbye any lingering 2016 bandwagon fans.

Haven't posted on here for quite some time but on hearing the news my 10 year old burst into tears. I've quietly read everyone's comments lately and listened impartially. But this guy gave us something I don't think we'll ever see again. Yes there's a shout that NP set it up but that aside, my 10yr old, my 12yr old and my 18yr old are devastated. Yes it's only football but it's now a game drowned in money and it's lost its roots. He deserved at least one season's grace. One season where he could step down gracefully as the hero he has become. I'm not looking for a response to this, I'm not interested. Up to this point the owners have been exemplary in my eyes but tonight they have failed on every level. Good luck Claudio, you have given me and my family memories I will treasure forever. I met him once, as I have most of the managers, but he shined through. Thank you.

If we had got battered last night and were out of the tie I could understand it more, but to do it now seems batshit crazy!?!

Be interesting to see the reaction from the players now but really quite gutted he's been sacked like this.

We look like proper ****s to the rest of the footballing world now!

Firstly, I support Leicester City Football Club above and beyond any individual who has ever played for or managed the club.

But tonight, the owners can **** off and the players can **** off. I'm more fond of Ranieri than of any other person associated with the club in the 24 yeas I've supported us. I'd never have sacked Ranieri. If anybody in the game has earned the right to go on his own terms then it's him.

I'm not so obtuse that I can't understand why some might think this was the right decision to make. But to not even allow the bloke a crack at that home leg against Sevilla? It's cruel. **** them. His statue will be outside the ground one day and it will stand long after the rest of them have gone.

Someone should start a crowd funding page to buy the roundabout on Filbert Way and we'll build our own statue there!

I didn't want him sacked, but he made some terrible decisions. His loyalty to players clearly undermined his managerial duty, he should have used other players in the squad and the transfer window to strengthen the defence so he he could drop Morgan, Fuchs and Huth because they have been really appalling. Mahrez, Vardy have not been far behind those three, Drinkwater another lacklustre performer yet the manager did nothing just put out the same team out with a couple of tweaks week and week out. If the rumours are true and there have been bust ups behind the scenes, (excluding Ulloa, whose differences with Ranieri were very public), these bust ups reportedly included the coaching staff, so its little wonder the team have struggled. The owners have clearly looked at the situation in its entirety and decided that the Manager could not be expected to recover the trust of either the players or the coaching staff which leaves them with no alternative but to sack him. The favourite to to replace him is Nigel Pearson, I personally I would welcome Mancini back to the club.

I honestly don't want to support these players any longer. I think I'll feel even more angry if they put in a proper performance on Monday night. I'll be there, and I'll be cheering the club on. But like **** will any of my energy be wasted in supporting the treacherous bastards wearing blue on the pitch.

I was supposed to love these players forever. I despise them all.
