Those paragons of football excellence Mr Neville and Mr Rudkin

What is the difference between a Director of Football (Mr Rudkin) and a Director of Football Operations (Mr Neville)?
What do each of them do all day. I understand that Mr Ruskin deals with contracts which will keep him busy during the transfer window but is hardly a full time job otherwise. Presumably the head of recruitment and his staff do the actual watching of players. .If that nice Susan Whelan and her staff are dealing with tickets, the shop and sponsorship what does Mr Neville do?.

This is not an attempt to malign either of them. For all I know they may both be paragons of football excellence. It is a genuine question.

The thing that I'm taking from this thread, is that none of us really know what these chaps do. Like yourself, David, I do not mean to imply that they do not fulfil some crucial role, just that we are all ignorant.

If anyone connected to LCFC reads these halloed pages (and I find it hard to believe that they aren't glued to them), it would be an idea for the club to educate us...

I think they should also let us know the names of the cleaners so we can laud them. Btw did the cleaners all get BMW's after our prem win?
