Good point but if Morgan returns on Tuesday then I believe that will be the case anyway.

I think you're right that Morgan and Benalouane have played together in the centre of defence before. When they've both been on the pitch together Benalouane has been playing at right back.

The right thing to do is keep it simple. Pick Tuesday's side and have them train today and not even travel. Then put together a side for today based on what's left/available.
Zieler in goal.
Wasyl, Amartey, Huth, Chilwell at the back - I think Wasyl is a better defensive right back than central defender. I also think we need to give Amartey a game at centre back just in case.
King and Kapustka in midfield with King sitting in front of the defence.
Gray wide right and Musa wide left. Slimani in the Okazaki role and Ulloa up front.
Hamer plus six kids on the bench.
That way, everyone playing today is focused on Palace and everyone playing Tuesday is focused on Madrid. We're much more likely to do well in both games if the players are clear about their roles and responsibilities. We muddled it all up at Everton and that was a mistake.

This should be a showcase for those who have had little to no game time. Save everyone we can for Atletico - I'm absolutely with BN on this; the starting eleven on Tuesday shouldn't even travel if that is in any way possible.
There's nothing to gain in real terms from finishing 9th as opposed to 17th in the League - it's all academic as long as we stay up. Having a chance, perhaps a one in a lifetime chance, of making the CL semi finals should be the sole focus right now.
