I was about to say the same thing BN. End of an era? Don't be daft!

It's a marker for sure, and a time to reflect, to remember our journey and be immensely proud but no way is it the start of an inevitable decline.

This really isn't the end of this era.

Of course it isn't - I can't believe how defeatist some people are

We've just competed with one of the best teams in Europe and, on chances alone, we really should have beaten them

There is a need to replace and renew, but that is the same every season. With a few additions, this squad can get right back to competing at the top part of the League.

It's exciting times

One last thing about last night - I read an awful lot of moaning on other forums about the fact that the Club stepped in rather than allow that fans lot to do another tifo. Well I thought the whole flags thing was simply fantastic and looked amazing - far better than sticking up some enormous banner over everyone's heads. I loved it

I had a nice shiny blue one. Big lols at those who were stuck with a Fosse Gold one

I was just reading some btl comments on the BBC website regarding the game; some are just nonsensical, beyond moronic. I'll not bother again. Sure, all such comments sections have trolls and the embittered but there seems to be a special class of idiot on the BBC.

Oh, and that whole video with the fox before the game.

Amazing stuff
I got proper choked at that, what an adorable little guy and a great bit of emotional button pushing.

I'm just about to get started at work and now I'm all teary thinking about that fox.

What was that video? Not shown over here

Was a fox walking through the changing rooms, and then onto the pitch, cut with LCFC and Champions League imagery

Completely amazing

Thanks anyway Homer.

I watched in my usual local in London with an Arsenal fan and he was really impressed particularly by out second half performance.

We were awesome.

We can beat ANYONE.

Again, before I get into it I want to state that I was proud of all our players last night and have loved the whole CL saga. It's been magic and many of us are unlikely to see it again.

Now being as people have been criticising Mahrez here and Cityfan has also knocked Drinky I'd like to comment on our "attackers". Vardy, Ulloa and Okazaki.

We had 22 attempts on goal yesterday. That means we had great service for our strikers but we only scored 1 goal. This for me is our problem. Our attackers all put in great effort and give it their whole heart but they all lack class. I remember people earlier this year saying that Vardy is the most natural goalscorer they've ever seen. He really isn't. If Ibrahimovic, Alexis, Griezmann, benteke, lukaku, even the likes of Defoe had the chances our strikers had yesterday they would have bagged a hat-trick and we'd have been in the semi-finals. Vardy should have had a hat-trick but he miss-hit two beautiful chances - he also miss-hit his goal. Ulloa pur himself about valiantly and I've been impressed with his two outings but he just doesn't have that extra that turns a decent lower prem striker into a top class scorer and Okazaki would have trouble scoring 10 in the championship. He throws himself around and runs hard but apart from the occasional unusual goal he really can't score. It's a real shame that Slimani couldn't play yesterday he would have put the ball in the net. Chilwell, fuchs, Albrighton etc... were peppering the box with great opportunites. It's where we missed Huth too.

It's easy to be gracious when you've won - especially when maybe you didn't deserve it. Simeone didn't even shake Shakey's hand after the game in Madrid. screw him.

finally I'd like to congratulate Shakespeare on a magnificent job. You all know that I didn't like the dismissal of CR but Shakey has done fantastically well and his substitutions and tinkering with the formation in the last 2 games has been great.

I'm glad to see that we're looking at the idea of 3 at the back again - it makes for fun football.

If he keeps this up until the end of the season I hope we stick with him for next year.
Yep. Exactly what I expected. Horse shit from start to finish.

So many non-sensical, negative posts. We went toe to toe with one of the best sides on the planet and outplayed them for the most part.

What on earth makes you think that it won't happen again? We have an incredibly exciting few months and years ahead. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

And scored from 1 in 22 attempts. Nobody can defend that percentage. We should have at least 3 goals from 22 attempts. Our finishing let us down.
