I thought it had the touch of Nigel Pearson about it. He certainly has said on record a few times how much he enjoyed playing for NP, not surprising he has a similar outlook on the game.

I don't understand why if you're not blindly optimistic you're being overly negative. I think he will no doubt be an improvement on what we have but he clearly isn't the same player he was 2-3 years ago or he would never be coming here.

One of my favourite players of the Pearson era. Has scored some big goals (Burnley away, Leeds Away in the promotion season) and some great ones too (that chip against Forest, Liverpool last season). I will be sad to see him go, but I can't see him getting a chance here this season as it stands

Strange choice for me. Yes it's champions league football but it's not a team with a realistic chance of doing anything in it and he has been there done that. Also I'm sure he could have earned more in the MLS. Plus, the Greek economy is hardly the most reliable.... Not that I'm bitter. Least...
