I'm not sure if you are suggesting that there are parallels between the two cases. Wise was sacked for gross misconduct and all the money due to him up to the time of his dismissal was paid; Nugent is now being paid wages that he was due before he left Portsmouth.

When I first played championship manager, I'd whack the salary offered to the max I could for every player to make sure I got them. This is the real life equivalent
