What a disappointment this signing has been

I am by no means his biggest fan I am wondering if it is going to take him a whole season to bed in. was he not signed by CR?

I'd keep him. Especially if Mahrez leaves.

His first season in Russia wasn't the best either. He's clearly got talent, just needs a confidence rebuild.

Have to agree but fans on here need a player to attack.

There's absolutely no way he's going to leave this season in my opinion, unless management feel thye really see that there isn't anything to him. Though we've seen flashes of good stuff, so I doubt we're going to give up on him.

Vardy had an abysmal first season. The rest is history.

The Leicester forward Ahmed Musa is considering legal action after his agent described reports that he was arrested for beating up his wife on her birthday as “inaccurate”.

The Nigeria international, who joined the Premier League champions last summerfrom CSKA Moscow for £16m, was questioned by Leicestershire police in the early hours of Wednesday morning after they were called to a disturbance at his home in Countesthorpe. Musa was later released without charge and his agent has insisted reports of the 24-year-old’s arrest hours after he had wished his wife Jamila happy birthday on Instagram had been exaggerated.

“A row ensued between Musa and Jamila which drew the attention of neighbours and the police were notified,” said Tony Harris. “The police duly spoke with Musa along with a couple of witnesses in the house and have since closed the matter with no further action whatsoever as there is no case to answer. No charges were brought against Musa or his wife.

“It’s normal for a couple to have a bit of a row now and again, however, Musa did not at any point hit his wife nor was he attacked by her. It was a mere domestic issue which has now been resolved and they are now talking again.”

Harris added: “Everyone knows Musa is a jolly good fellow. He doesn’t drink or smoke, doesn’t party and has never been in trouble with the police all his life. He couldn’t harm a fly.”

Musa is understood to be very upset about the reporting of the incident and has been in touch with his legal representatives to discuss potential action. A statement from Leicester on Thursday said that Musa would be asked to explain what happened when he is due back in for training on Friday.

“We are aware that Ahmed Musa has today [Wednesday] cooperated with a police inquiry relating to a disturbance in the early hours of this morning,” read the statement. “The inquiry has since been closed and no further action is to be taken. We see no reason for formal action internally, though Ahmed will be given the opportunity to discuss the matter with football management when the squad returns to training on Friday.”

Musa has not started a Premier League match for Leicester since the 3-0 defeat to Manchester United on 5 February having fallen down the pecking order under new manager Craig Shakespeare.

Like Vardy?

I haven't said a thing since he started making an effort.

I also had his back a few years ago when "fans" were calling for him to be sold off. Like Musa he had speed and speed kills.

Anyone who wasn't criticising him and a few of the others earlier this year need ball sacks checking because he was taking the piss.

Right now I'm happy with him and hope we can get a nice transfer fee for him in the summer - but I don't think we will.

Who is attacking him?
Certainly not his wife. Definitely not. Nobody on the forum thinks so*. That's why it had to be stressed in the article that she hadn't, because nobody had mentioned that she hadn't done that thing nobody had accused her of.

*Except Brown Nose because he has a conspiracy theory for everything.

I dont rate musa it is as simple as really.

He cannot beat anyone on the wing, and he tends to panic when he has the ball.
I also said tho if we played him as a CF he might do better, but do we wait until age catches up with vardy and have a 16million guy sitting around for a couple of years?
I rate ulloa more than musa, and makes me not blame ulloa for wanting to leave as he probably scratching his head why he behind musa in the pecking order.

So, to sum up, anyone who doesn't think like you is wrong? I can't be bothered to explain it any more but there are some who don't think it was a question of effort (or at least for the most part) but a question of being asked (told?) to do something totally different from what worked so well last year by a manager who fancied changing something that wasn't broken. You're far too linear in your constant assumption that a 'lack of effort' was the sole reason for Vardy's lack of goals - just try to imagine for one second a player who is flying, being told to change his entire game without reason. I don't know this happened of course, but you don't know that it didn't. If there was a lack of effort, maybe it was to do with being totally frustrated by playing in a way that didn't befit his finest assets and seeing no reward from it. I'm not absolving him of all blame, but I'm certainly more proportional in my assessment of it.

As for wanting to sell a proven Premier League goal scorer who seems to be back at the top of his game, even though to replace him would cost tens of millions of pounds without any guarantees of the returns we have got from Vardy, well, this is as crazy as you can get. I've warmed to some of your posting of late, even when I've disagreed with it as it has been a lot more logical - this one though fella, is a return to the dark days of those posts that should have been scrawled into the wall of an asylum.

So, to sum up, anyone who doesn't think like you is wrong?

Not at all. I've never said that. Is anyone who doesn't think like you wrong? I'm just expressing my opinion, and I accept that you like many others disagree. If anything I respect your opinions and enjoy reading them. If everyone thought like me all of the time, it'd be pointless discussing.

I think Musa can still come good, he just needs more time - the only difficulty is that he's not going to get much of a run with Vardy in there because that's the same position we should be using Musa.

Don't forget the rest of the team has been crap most of the time he's been involved this season too. He's still young and that's a difficult situation for a creative/attacking player to deal with in his first season in the Prem.

I'm hoping he'll get a few chances off the bench at least before the end of the season in a time that's back to playing with confidence and momentum (and with not too much left to play for in the league) because I think that could help him a lot.
