Appreciate that you are referring to mathematics of the T20 knock about but thisSeason was over before it started.

LCCC seems to be relying on a hope of a bit of success in T20 to obfuscate unacceptable results in the more substantive formats of the game.

in my opinion T20 is more or less rubbish - but I can accept that it is an opportunity to get families and people not into cricket into the ground. But its appeal is diminishing in terms of attendances at the group stages....and inevitably so.

Yhe season isn't over in terms of individual performances - but these will be played out against a chaotic background. We have a very small squad - but everyone gets a game and there doesn't seem to be much rationale about selection.

There is so much wrong at every level that it's difficult to know how anyone would start to put things right.....but hopefully given that there is a cyclical pattern in most sports clubs and perhaps we are about to see a move forward for 2014 - would't want to bet on it tho'
