Watching Ivanovich (Chelsea v Brentford) and he looks decent going forward. Difficult to be objective though as this is a cake walk for Chelsea. Well taken goal though.

Pleased for some of the smaller teams but these days it can't be dressed up as the giant killings of old. Weakened sides all over the place, 4th place in the prem is a trophy now and winning a cup brings little more reward than getting to play against some Bulgarian farmers or Tottenham on a Thursday the season after.

It's says it all when the draw is on the One Show! If they want to bill it as a big deal then the draw should have its own slot.
Someone tried to tell me the other day that it's still special because it's not been ruined by commercialism. I refrained from snorting my derision and instead pointed out that it is indeed sponsored (or at least has been for the last however long) and the only reason it hasn't gone the way of the champions league for stupid commercialisation is simply because nobody will pay that much for it. The FA would sell it out in a heartbeat for more money.
These days it seems to be more the teams battling relegation from the Prem (or trying to get into it) that put out stupidly weakened teams. Five of the top six are through to the next round, but only two other Prem teams (hopefully we'll make it three) are through.

Spot on. If anything the FA have been too late in trying to commercialise it to death. Added time multiball and a champions league place to be touted once again.
