If that was one of our better performances of the season, god help us.

We were chasing shadows all game. Chelsea didn't even bother getting out of second gear.
I've just gone through the fixture list (sad I know) and counted 10 better performances and 10 worse performances. It definitely wasn't one of the worst performances of the season, but definitely wasn't one of the best.

So you needed to find one match that wasn't better to make it one of our better performances.

Did you really need to question a simple statement so vociferously for that?

What a load of doomsayers. That was one of our better performances this season. chelsea are clear at the top of the table and deservedly so as they move players and the ball so quickly and have a solid defence.

I thought Ndidi looked class - the best midfielder on either team - Mendy looked good and defensively Drinky was okay but his passing forward was terrible. Albrighton did alright but his passing always gets worse as the game goes on. Chilwell looked good too and Gray was great when he came on.

I didn't think think anyone had a really bad game. The first goal we weren't ready to play but for the last half hour of the first half we were the better team. we came out cold for the second half but it was only a wicked deflection that allowed the goal. Kasper had the shot easily covered. from there it was only going to be a losing battle against Chelsea.

Vardy is probably the player I'd select as the worst out there. He really did nothing and I wish that Musa - who ran all over the pitch had got the striker role with Vardy on the bench and Gray starting on the wing.
I do hate agreeing with you at the minute but this is the game I saw as well.

Almost everything I can forgive but Fuchs yesterday was utterly dreadful... Incompetant and just a mile away from where his performance should have been. He looks definitely like he's keen to just get out to USA and put his Premiership trophy on a shelf..

Vardy looked like a shadow of the hungry forward we so loved watching last season too - which is a real shame.

Drink water playing on the right of a three isn't the way for me.

Only positive (on the TV) was that NDidi looked fairly decent..

In that case why are people saying that they don't know how to play in that system?

Maybe because yesterday they looked like a pair of useless fat old gimps who hadn't seen a football in their lives

The reason why we struggled was down to the fact Musa partnered Vardy it does'nt work, 3-5-2 is a pressing formation and relies on rapid counter attacking, had Shinji of started the game then vardy would have been pressing with a willing partner, CR simply got that wrong I hope he plays Vardy and Shinji together they link up well together

It is not doom and gloom Chelsea are a class
act we actually played okay we just didnt press high enough up the pitch.

The 3rd goal made me want to cry, Morgan might as well have been in the changing room

The third goal summed up Morgan this season - clueless. Instead of going for the aerial challenge after the ball deflected off Kasper, he just let the opponent win it in the hope he'd head it straight at him??????

I'm a relatively even keeled fella. That goal really pissed me off.

I'm certainly not, although compared to 10 years ago maybe I am :)

The goal seemed to be a perfect micro summary of Wes this season.

Unfortunately the time has arrived to look at other options with a view to changing the backline long term Imo.

Amazing how people interpret goals differently.

Morgan was in no-man's-land because N'Didi played Chelsea onside. I don't hold Morgan responsible for it at all.

Also, I held Fuchs responsible for the first goal as he was out of position, which dragged the rest of the back line along giving Chelsea the overlap.

The second goal was just horrifically conceded (Fuchs with the needless free kick and then general carnage at the set piece).

I can'd figure out how we managed so little marking yesterday.

However, I do think that Everton's pasting of Man City should put this result into perspective for us. Losing to the team that looks like they will win the premier league comfortably should not be a cause for panic, and we were actually in the game until their second goal (IMO).
We will play worse teams, and get better results.

Which seems to imply that the goal was Morgan's fault?

I saw it as just another occasion when Captain Wes was just doing what he has done in most matches in the last three years. Putting his body in harms way to keep a shot out.

On this occasion he only got a small deflection, the wrong way away from Kasper.

This probably only happens in about 1 in 15-20 shots he tries to block.

Hardly grounds for dismissal considering he is approaching 90 consecutive matches played!

Are we talking about the same goal?
