Vardy top goal scorer in the league?

We basically played an open game against Arsenal. Always likely to lose when you try and "outplay" but I don't mind us having a go.

5-2 now.

My thoughts exactly. Think we've competed well and score line is a bit harsh but can't complain. Only major off day was for Mahrez

What a trashing... just our luck that Sanchez would play a blinder after doing nothing so far this season. Poor defensively and very naive at times from what I could tell from the pixelated mess of a stream. There's still a big gulf between us as the top 4 or 5 teams so we need to be a bit more careful in these big games. Fair play to Arsenal, they were a class act.

Vardy's 2nd amused me. The way he belted it in was as if he had too much of our misses and he was putting an end to it :)

The scoreline was harsh but we NEED to sort out the defence. At least two of Fuchs, Benalouane, Wasilewski, or Simpson have to be given a chance. None of the back four have looked particularly good this season.

Ulloa must also start the next game.

The key is not today's defeat but how we react to it. There's no disgrace in losing to Arsenal.

I thought 1-3 at HT was a bit harsh. We went off the boil in the second half and I think the team has been let down by poor individual performances from Mahrez and Schlupp today. If it wasn't clear where improvements need to be made it should be bleeding obvious by now. Good start might be Fuchs for Schlupp at LB? Should certainly tighten up.. we'd lose the overlapping forward runs but would it make up for it by adding extra set piece presence from Fuchs?

I am not sure if Ranieri's approach was brave or stupid. We were never going to contain Arsenal with such a attacking approach. Vardy and Drinkwater the best for us today.

With our defence I doubt we'd do any better by being more defensive. At least we gave ourselves a chance by playing that way, definitely better to be brave than accept and play to lose I'd say.

Also...we had chances to do better but it was one of those days against a side with 2 or 3 real class players.

Scoreline a little harsh on us but Arsenal probably played the best they have all season today and showed why they are a top 4 side.

No complaints from me, just beaten by a better team.

Mahrez probably the worst player for us, just wasn't happening for him and Schlupp seemed to be out of position a lot.

Glad the crowd stuck with them till the end and hopefully no one will be on here saying how awful we were as we weren't, we were just beaten by a much better team who had the players to punish us right on form.

I think we have to play to our strengths. We tried to do that today so credit to Ranieri for that, really should have bought Ulloa on at HT, if not starting with him as was suggested by myself and a few posters prior to the game. Albrighton was our best creative source in a decent first half so Ulloa would have been the ideal compliment.

Don't mind losing if we give it a go, which, boy did we.

It will always feel much worse defending stoically for 85 minutes and lose to a mistake.

Arsenal were class.

Onwards and upwards.

I predicted 5-2 -I just got the teams the wrong way around. Our defence was very disappointing, Arsenal have only scored 5 goals all season, and then they double that score in one match against us. On the positive side, Vardy put two past a good Arsenal defence, well done son! (I have a bet with a Spurs fan that Vardy will score more than Harry Kane this season.)

I can only go on the Beeb reportage and you chaps, but it sounds like a harsh scoreline and, we would be far worse off if we had tried to park the proverbial bus. We don't have the personnel for such a strategy and would, almost certainly, have lost and might have had to deal with sending offs and suspensions.

Feel gutted tonight but, in the cold light of day, we've had a great start, been part of a great game and the important thing now is not to let this deflect us from going all out next week...

Speaks volumes for us that the final score pundits were bigging us up and not just licking their hoops. If we approach the entire season looking to win then I'm confident we'll avoid the third relegation spot.

Makes you wonder how much Arsenal and Wenger were fired up and motivated by Mourinho's snide and ungracious comments in his pre-match press conference yesterday.

Mahrez was an embarrassment today, other than that, everyone gave their all. Mahrez left us open continuously down the right and De Laet never had a chance.

It wouldn't / didn't affect the result but the referee was also sackable today. Horrendous.
