Until the two sloppy goals our defenders where blocking and putting themselves just as well as last season. But in a way the two goals will make sure we're not complacent about our defensive deficiencies.

I thought the biggest difference today was how well King and Amartey protected the defence. They worked so hard I can understand why we were slower toward the end of the game. Drinkwater coming back, and James and Mendy returning to fitness will give us the ability to freshen things up.

Lots of reason for optimism after today's performance.

Great first 20mins.
Man City committed suicide though and played like they had never seen Leicester play before. idiotic formation, defensive personnel selection and lack of urgency. Which we fully capitalised on. But let's not fool ourselves. we were handed 2 or 3 of those goals by kamikaze defending..
After that I think Man City could easily have got a draw (maybe controversial). we HAVE to find a way to not just let the opponents have the ball right up to the edge of our area and hope they don't put quality in.
with a bit more quality it could have been curzon Ashton v AFC Wimbledon

I'm over the moon we won, and agree that the front 3 werè great, but we can't expect that that performance or starting 11 will do the same against Bournemouth away....or that this means there's nothing to fix

A win against Bournemouth could put us in the top half of the table. Now that's crazy.

Difficult decision with who gets dropped for Drinkwater coming back after that performance.

Unless Jeff tells me I'm wrong, a win against Bournemouth will put us in the top half of the table.

Easy decision. King.

More difficult decision is who takes Simpson's place with Hernandez in the dog house. Where's RDL when you need him?

Nah, Southampton could win tomorrow for a start.

Not if Southampton beat Middlesbrough tomorrow.

Didn't I say Jeff would correct me?!

I hate Sunday football!

Let's not get too carried away, it was a pretty good performance but Man City are a complete shambles at the back. It was the first time this season that Vardy had space to run into and they didn't double up on Mahrez. Guardiola paid no attention to what allowed Leicester to win so many games last year, they played right into City's hands.

As for the Drinkwater situation, Simpson is suspended, it's possible that Amartey could play at right back (he did last year in the same situation) and Drinky plays alongside King.

I Personally would still like to see 3 in the middle, particularly away.

Love being wrong. If this is what happens when I predict a thrashing I will happily predict a whupping every week.

Twice a week would be preferable when we have a midweek game.

Bing !

Where the feck have they been all season ?

Guardiola best coach in the world, you say ? Yeah right. What an embarrassment
