I've no idea why you were all so pessimistic before the match.

Man Shitty were everything I expected them to be. Worst team to play us this season, including the pub team Brugge.

What a shambolic mess they are, led by a total buffoon of a 'super coach'.

We should have put eight past them. It was only our lack of confidence that stopped us going for the jugular.

I hope the reports are correct that Ranieri and the players had a meeting the other day. Ranieri offered to change the tactical approach and the players said no, we'll make it work. Tuesday night will show us whether they're really back. A much sterner test than the moneybags joke team. That's the key game of this season for me. Vital that we're up for it, energetic and fierce. Momentum is everything.

That's what Ranieri said after the match. He was quite clear he had actively considered 3 in the middle but had decided against it, mainly because of the players' response, and felt justified by the last ten today (half jokingly).

Whilst I have thought he needed to be more flexible in recent weeks, it's good to hear he has been actively going through the thought process.

Fantastic game!

Vardy is still a genius!

Thank God for goal line technology.

Wow, what a result!

So happy on the first goal, particularly that Vardy had scored to end his drought. To then go on and get a hat trick is fantastic. I think he's very much a confidence player and the confidence from this should do him the world of good!

Amazing to win like that. Who could've seen that coming?

Let's hope that the players learn what a difference playing with higher intensity, determination and workrate makes for them.

Great stuff. First up on Match of the Day tonight and I can't wait to see it!

Got up and watched delayed. Snuck a look at the result first. Gutted I did.

Was not expecting that especially when I saw King and Amarty in the middle. Man City will not win the league.

As said earlier had we shown a bit more confidence when we had them on the ropes we could have scored more. I really can't complain with at result but it wouldn't have been Leicester if there wasn't a few anxious minutes at the end.

Chat shit get banged!

What are peoples thoughts about if we'd been just mediocre instead of completely dreadful in mid-week and lost 1 or 2 nil, there mightn't have been the heavy duty work put in to turn things around for this game.

A much needed confidence boosting result for all, team and fans alike. Let's hope we build on it.

I loved Vardy's reaction after his first goal. Crisis? What crisis? It was the reaction of a player who wasn't fretting, was always confident. I hope that's indicative of the mood in the team.

Score 1 for Ranieri. He knew his players and stuck with them. I hope that faith is repaid.

I'll watch the Bournemouth game with renewed confidence. I suspect it won't be as easy as today.

The feeling after the opening five minutes of that match -- let alone twenty -- was utterly surreal. Unbelievable scenes.

Great first 20mins.
Man City committed suicide though and played like they had never seen Leicester play before. idiotic formation, defensive personnel selection and lack of urgency. Which we fully capitalised on. But let's not fool ourselves. we were handed 2 or 3 of those goals by kamikaze defending..
After that I think Man City could easily have got a draw (maybe controversial). we HAVE to find a way to not just let the opponents have the ball right up to the edge of our area and hope they don't put quality in.
with a bit more quality it could have been curzon Ashton v AFC Wimbledon

I'm over the moon we won, and agree that the front 3 werè great, but we can't expect that that performance or starting 11 will do the same against Bournemouth away....or that this means there's nothing to fix

Just re watched the highlights again this morning, mainly to make sure I didn't dream it all. I really enjoyed Claudio's post match interviews as well. Brilliant, hope we can show the same desire on Tuesday night

Man City were guilty of paying us no respect at all. Mahrez and Vardy were allowed acres of space all game. They set up expecting to walk all over us and didn't change it.

Bournemouth will be very different.

We have been given a platform from which we could really kick on.

They had better take this one.

I can a only speak for myself but my pessimism was due to seeing nothing in our previous performances that lead me to believe that we could win! Seems obvious stated like that, I know, but that's the truth. Man City have been hit and miss rather than dire all season but I considered that them in 'miss' mode was still enough to see to us.

What I didn't expect was their tactical arrogance and comedy defending.

Watching it on MOTD, their defending was awful. We definitely could've had more.

Bournemouth may be harder because they'll pay more respect and be aware of our strengths, especially after that reminder of what we're capable of.

But, don't underestimate the confidence boost that will have given our players. The step up in determination - and the 2 goals conceded at the end when that dropped off - should hopefully give our players a reminder of what hard work gets them, and the win and goals will give them the confidence to go do it

I watched the game again this morning. It was remarkable how little we attacked really. We could easily have scored several more goals had we been so inclined. I really don't think I've ever seen such a poor defence as Man Shitty.

I think the reason that we didn't go on to score more was partly a lack of confidence but mostly a lack of fitness. Yes I know I keep saying this but the drop off in energy levels towards the end of each half was incredible. The players were totally shagged out towards the end of the match. Had the game gone on for another fifteen minutes, we'd have lost to a joke team which would have been horrible.

All this made me wonder, how do you increase the fitness levels of a squad of players in the middle of December? Because that is the key to our season now.

Take the reserve team we put out against Porto (I finally watched that game too today). Several of them were patently not fit which, combined with a dreadfully negative attitude, was the reason we were so poor. What on earth do they do in training? Why are we incapable of getting and keeping players fit all of a sudden?
