Hull are not Real Madrid. They're a piss poor bunch with a decent manager.

If we play anything like last night, we'll beat them.

If we put as much effort in as last night we'll win handsomely (as long as we score the first goal).

I don't know why you change the team for Saturday. Vardy is good enough in the air that Slimani does not offer more overall.

Lots of teams didn't play the way they had to for us to beat them last season. We still managed it though.

Marco Silva (IMO) will not be parking the bus. We should play our natural game and we will win.

I think I have a problem with Mahrez himself rather than flair players generally. Even last season, when he was doing his stuff, I was thinking 'yes but'... I don't know why, I guess I react in a contrary fashion to people saying 'Mahrez is a genius' type stuff. My problem really. I'll try to be more open minded in future, promise :)

I love him. My favorite City player, bar none.

I'd have Gray in for Mahrez too. Although Gray was ineffectual against Liverpool in the limited time he had, there's any number of reasons for that. .

I think that this one one of the few tactical mistakes there. Gray could have been much more effective if he'd received the ball from clearances . Vardy was out on his feet last ten minutes ,yet they still kept trying to pump t the ball up to him to chase. It would have made much more sense to pass it out to Gray who had fresh legs and could have ran at the L'pool defense - cut in side for a wild shot - or just run it down to the corner flag

Really don't understand the Mahrez criticism from last night, and I'm a bit more forgiving of his form generally.

He had three moments of brilliant skill that no other player in blue would have been capable of.

1. The lead up to the 3rd goal, where the defender stood off him scared shitless, and then Mahrez played a wonderful 1-2 with Fuchs via a great flick
2. The slalom run at 3-0 into the box where he could easily have gone down for a penalty, but instead laid it off to Drinkwater who promptly thrashed it over the bar
3. The reverse ball midway through the first half to Vardy that drug their entire back four out. Vardy made a poor first touch, back-heeled it to N'Didi who got a shot off

While I can understand people wanting to see more of Gray, he is nowhere near the quality of Mahrez, particularly when it comes to final ball. Gray, currently reminds me of a young Ronaldo. All sizzle and not enough steak. He's a young man, so it isn't a criticism. If he develops the deadliness that Mahrez has, he'll be a brilliant player. Mahrez already is.

It's also hard for Mahrez as he definitely is dealing with man-marking and doubling in, so hard for him to directly impact games as consistently. He was never a "Hume" figure and always looked a wee bit half-arsed. That's part of his game. That isn't to say his form hasn't dropped, it has...but it is to say he remains our best player, a wonderful talent and shown flashes last night of his ability to completely turn a game.

Mahrez didnt have his best game but as you rightly have pointed out he still proved why he should be in the team.

I would keep the same 11 as we had vs liverpool but if mahrez or albrighton are getting nowhere then bring on gray.

Can't see us ever dropping Vardy but Liverpool was the first time he won more than 1 ball in the air for months. Slimani is far better - in the air.

What a pity he has, thus far at least, proven to be bang average (at best) with his feet.

Good decision to bring Gray on for Mahrez, he didn't have a great game. Having said that, I'd still start Mahrez against Hull. Not going to rediscover his best form by sitting on the bench and showed glimpses of the level of skill we saw from him last season. Bring Gray on around the hour mark if he's still having a bad game or not really making much of an impact... Making the change with 10 minutes to go isn't giving Gray enough time to really make an impact.

If the Hull defence are clumsy clods then Mahrez is the obvious choice to dance around them.

Apart from helping out in defence sometimes, the one thing Mahrez does need to learn, is that once he has 2 or 3 defenders on to him, he does not have to beat them all. Just release the ball to the nearest City player in the space now created.

This is it. Can we keep the momentum of the last 1 and a half matches going?

This is the real test of our champions.

Same line-up as the Liverpool game I guess though personally I'd put Chilwell in for Fuchs, Amartey in for Morgan and Gray in for Mahrez.

Why would you make three changes after our best performance of the season?

Same team, but with Gray in for Mahrez.

So not the same team then?

It has to be the exact same 11. Not one player deserves to be dropped after their performance sgainst Liverpool.

There is no way the team will change for the Hull game. No way on earth. Mark my words.

If they are clumsy then get Gray on too. He has gone past more players this year than Mahrez.

Yeah why would I try and make my team better?

We had a win in an unusual match.

And hull are a different team to Liverpool.

Would you play the same team against sumo wrestlers as you would against dwarves?

If I was playing Blood Bowl and we assume that Sumo wrestlers are equivalent to Ogres, and I were Humans then yes I would play the same team and try to beat both with superior agility and speed. In both cases I would keep my star players away from the line of scrimmage.

Top-notch nerdism. Although you should really say whether you were thinking of the tabletop or video-game, with bonus points if you referenced the Amiga/Atari versions.

Table top of course. I found the PC game too easy.

Drinkwater with a hail Mary to Mahrez who uses a Blitz to get past his man, Okazaki with a block on the covering defender. Mahrez passes to Vardy who 'goes for it' to score.

I'd pass high against the dwarves. elf QB to slimani. I'd run against the sumos, with Vardy.
