I know it was all paper talk a while back but supposedly Vardy, Mahrez and Kante were all offered lucrative new deals. Vardy has signed his, Kante has allegedly rejected his but there has been nothing reported on Mahrez's situation.
I guess no news is good news but I am a little surprised we haven't heard anything on this.
Anyone know anything more?

Not heard anything, but unlike with Kante there is not a lot of reported interest.

All this could be designed to push the club to match Vardy's contract?

Not wishing for us to sell him but I wonder what he is worth (or what someone would be willing to pay)?

£40 million?

And for this reason quite how we let the best midfielder in the premiership, possibly Europe, possibly more go for £30m is totally baffling
Maybe we've only sold them one of the twins?

I assume you are referring to N'Golo. None of us ( I think ) have had a peek at his contract, but by all accounts there was a buy out clause of some sort in it. That's why he went for what we got for him I would guess. Leicester would have got as much as possible under the terms of that contract, as far as I am aware we are not a registered charity.

Yes I was referring to Kante. I fully appreciate what you are saying and agree that he may not have even signed in the first place without the buy out clause inserted. It does make us feel like a registered charity in all honesty!!

Unlike 'big clubs' who buy players for £30million and then put in buyout clauses at £40million, it is more difficult to spend £400,000 on a player and then insist on a £40million trigger clause which looks like a straight jacket to the player.

Really hoping you have enough players for the opening game.We could lend you a couple of juniors if the rules allow it.
