At the start of the season the big debate was along the lines of 'can we keep hold of Vardy/Mahrez/Kante/Drinkwater'. - If we can't, we'd probably be 2 points above relegation after 20-odd games.

Just thinking, had we sold Vardy/Mahrez/Kante/Drinkwater, we'd probably be 2 points above relegation after 20-odd games but with £many many millions in the bank.

Actually, I think the main reason for the fall is the contract renewals and displacement of earnings within the 'band of brothers'. All that the team achieved last season seems to have been rewarded only to a few, who consequently are nowhere near the performance of last year.

Hindsight being what it is, but my feeling is that if Vardy and Mahrez had moved on, we would be in a much stronger position this season currently ironically. Team spirit is a fragile thing...

The money means absolutely nothing to us as fans. Who they spend it on would be important.

Totally agree, with 20-20 hindsight. At the time, I was delighted that we kept most of the squad and would probably have moaned were the "big names" to have been sold.

Just had a look as never heard of him. Averages about 11 games a season so I doubt he's a fine physical specimen.

I know nothing about this chap; whether he would totally outclass our current defenders or be unworthy of a shirt: however, if he, or any other defender, would provide a decent variation, even were it only for the remainder of this season, surely it would be worth a risk. If we are relegated, the financial cost to the club will be enormous and we would be far from guaranteed a speedy return.

More fool them. He hasn't played for a year and failed a medical at Trabzonspor only last month.

He's played nine times in almost two years due to injuries and a ban when he was caught drink driving (crashed his ferrari into a bus stop).
