the media just will not let this go, it will be interesting to see what CR has to say, apologies if this has already been posted.

It will amount to the thick end of **** all. A non event with no revelations.

Better off watching Corrie TBH.

Aren't we lucky that with this new catch-up thingee, we can do both, eh?

I'd say in this case you'd be unlucky to watch either let alone both.

Problem with catch up is sometimes there's shorter or no adverts. Kinda takes the best part of Corrie away.
I liked it this time as there isn't an agree function.

Recognising irony is not your strong point then?

I'm not liking any of Camberfox's posts now - I'm going to wait until I read them on catch-up in 2019.

Having skipped to 2027, I'm disliking all of FIF's posts as of three years ago.

you're still the funniest poster on the forum, don't get jealous.

So anyway nothing startling as expected. Refused to criticise the players . He thought the turning point as Seville at half time and not after his departure . He was referring to vardy as vards which indicated he had no ill feelings towards him. He mumbled something about people at the club pushing to get him out I got the feeling he was referring to backroom staff . He talked fondly about the fans of which he had total respect . I reciprocate his respect.

Claudio Ranieri has offered a passionate defence of his former Leicester City players, denying they forced him out.
“Leicester will be in my heart for all of my life because I won something in Europe, but never the title. Three times I was runner-up..... This time, with Leicester we won the title and the fans, with me, in my heart. I want to thank all the fans.”
from the Guardian

The bit about the sacking was interesting, particularly that there were already forces making waves last season. Why, for goodness sake?

But the revisiting of last year with Claudio and his discussion of his tactical thinking was marvellous.

Very messy. Sounds like the culprit was quite possibly Shakespeare. Did he turn the players against Ranieri intentionally to force Ranieri out? If so that's quite distasteful but equally could very well have been justified. If he really felt Ranieri had been lucky benefitting from somebody else's work and was in the process of taking us backwards, then he might have seen no option but to go behind Ranieri's back for the good of the club.

Then again I find it hard to reconcile the idea that Shakespeare and the old Pearson crew were the sole architects of last season's success given the mind blowing levels of inadequacy they'd demonstrated at times the previous season. I guess we'll soon find out if Shakespeare is the real genius, and at this point I really hope he is.

If Shakey is the culprit then what might be good now is if he came out with a bullish statement that basically admits to getting Ranieri sacked and saying he will prove himself right via his performances as a manager. A display of confidence like that would bring closure.

Sounds like you've made your mind up, Moose

Not really, i'm speculating, but Ranieri makes it sound like there was just one person he had an issue with. If that one person managed to get Ranieri sacked then he would have needed to have had strong influence with both the board and the players. There aren't many people who meet that description. Shakespeare does, I can't think of anyone else.
