I've met The Birch several times and he was warm and welcoming each time.
Top man who has dedicated his career to the club.
Hope few recovers fully and we see him trotting along the touch line at the end of the season like he has for my entire adult life.

Well said SJN. Some people believe that being callous is the same as being cool. When a friend of mine worked as a cleaner at Belvoir Drive he suffered a family tragedy - death of a stepson. He said how supportive Birch was at a time when support was needed.
The mobile phone idea is a good one. It will do Birch good to know he is appreciated. If I had a mobile phone I would spend this morning trying to find out how to switch the light on.

When I heard the news I was gutted, hoping and praying he will pull through. He is a fantastic ambassador for our football club, has done amazing charity work and his love and passion for LCFC mirrors that of a fan.
Best moment for me from last season, was seeing Birchy carry out the Premier League trophy, you could see and feel the immense pride, it was a great image. Looking at the reaction on social media particularly by ex LCFC players shows how popular he is and just how much he is part of the club.

I'll be astounded and disappointed if they don't. I think a lot of Chelsea fans have always had a soft spot for Leicester City, even before last season.

There I was, chuckling away at the thought of the coffin dodgers trying to work out how to turn on lights on their phones.
It's just taken me 20 mins to fail miserably to work out how to do it on my phone. I had to admit defeat and get my eleven year old to do it in the end.
