Not at all surprised by this after his reluctance to join us last summer. Wish him the best but don't really understand the logic of joining Chelsea compared to some of the other reported suitors.
Sunderland aren't as bad as their position suggests. They tend to finish games pretty strongly too, having outplayed teams like Man City in the second half. Feeling a slight blip so I'm going to go for a 1-1 draw.
Still think that will be enough to at least maintain the gap to second
Watched this at a bar in Kensington. A few Spurs fans there that weren't too happy but there was also a lot of local support (probably Chelsea fans cheering us on) Great atmosphere and great result.
Echo the sentiments of a lot on here that Simpson had a blinder. Nothing he could do about the...
I just don't get how Rafa is favourite. How can you go from managing one of the biggest brands in football to managing a shambles of a club looking destined for the trapdoor in the PL in the space of 1 season.
If I was him, I'd go nowhere near the club, even for stupid money.
I know....but that probably means he'll score against us now though.
Realistically I expect this to be fairly tight. The whole Watford team are struggling to score. I think this could be 0-1. Vardy Pen
Other positives. Thought Simpson and Morgan were rock solid. Drinkwater was again great and King did fantastically well having not seen much action this season.
Overall was happy with the performance we just didn't get the luck we needed to get all 3 points. Can't fault the lads as a whole. Thought Schmiechel could have done better with the first but can't fault his positioning for the free kick. That was the wall's side not the keeper's.
Thought...
Not sure which you're asking why a draw would be fantastic or why I'd fancy spurs so will answer both.
1 point for each of our rivals will enable us to widen the gap should we beat Watford. A win for arsenal whilst not the end of the world could potentially galvanise their squad again. No...
Get the point you're trying to make but it's somewhat irrelevant. Prior to our Championship winning campaign we had faltered badly and only squeezed into the play offs on the final day of the season and so by that yardstick it wouldn't make sense for us to go on and win it so comfortably the...
was a little concerned the break would allow Norwich to organise their defence a little better. Looking that way so far.
Loved how Ranieri has been able to spot how to combat opponents tactics and switch things at half time so far this season. Hope he can do the same again today
Agree it's a must win game if we are going to maintain our title push. (still feels odd saying that)
Norwich are shipping goals ate an incredible rate still and at the moment I just cant see them staying up. This could be one of the first games this season where a team comes to Leicester and...
Starting to think the same. Would much rather them win it than Arsenal or Man City if we end up falling short.
The Norwich game is incredibly important now to make sure that we bounce back from the disappointment of those final few seconds today. They're still shipping goals like there's no...
Man City failed to pick up 3 there too and should Utd fail to win tomorrow we've still got a great cushion to fifth. Really thought the problem today would be scoring so once we got the goal thought we'd be ok. Spirited performance from them, but thought we looked extremely shaky
Penalty miss and going in at half time at 1-0 galvanised them. Absolutely pitiful second half showing from us though. Think that was the first time we thought we had the result in the bag
Think this one will be fairly tight for some reason. Expecting us to return to a 4-4-2 formation, although not sure if Drinkwater will start, bearing in mind a recent return from injury and the turnaround of the fixtures.
I think their fans will be dreading playing us bearing in mind the first...
Went along to the game last night and like a few others on here, I thought the criticism of Inler is incredibly harsh. Bearing in mind he hasn't started for such a long time, to come into a game against the likes of Man City was always going to be tough. He broke up the play well and whilst he...
Would have taken a point from this fixture all season long. To come away with 3 points and a third consecutive away match where we've found the net 3 times is astounding!
I said I'd be happy with 6 points from this 'tricky' run of games that started with Man Utd. The fact we've dropped 2...
Absolutely gutted by this news. As said on here already he was amazing for us and don't think there was a single city fan who wasn't gutted when we couldn't secure his services on a permanent basis. RIP
Incredibly harsh. It wasn't until Kram came on that we actually started creating chances again and looked like scoring. Yes he should have scored his effort from 6 yards out but you can't deny it took a world class ave from Cech to stop him. He also played a good ball across the 6 yard box that...
Apart from Kramaric fluffing his lines on his 1 on 1 (put that down to trying too hard and a lack of confidence) I thought he had a very good game indeed. Some great bits of interplay and I thought he held the ball up well. Bearing in mind Mahrez and Schlupp both missed one on ones too, I don't...
Great comeback. A few tremendous performances and a fantastic debut from Dyer. First ha;f was disappointing but I wouldn't say we were terrible, just lacked a bit of impetus. Thought Villa's goal was a little lucky to be allowed as it certainly looked as though Albrighton was fouled as he was...
Over the moon with this signing. Unlucky to not get an England call up last couple of seasons. Exactly the type of player that will complement our approach.
Whilst our defence hasn't looked anything like as strong as it did during our run in, we've got the height and aerial power to hopefully deal with any crosses aimed at Gestede. We've looked more suspect in open play rather than dead ball situations
