No idea about the Adkins story doesn't sound right, then again I'd have said that about Megson a few weeks back... either way neither the Adkins or Cottril stories seem to be based on any real evidence beyond the language of "ifs" and "maybes"... thats not to say the Tigana/Royle story is right...

Not for £1mil... loan with a option to buy could make sense, but to be honest if we're looking for a striker I'd rather go with JFH on a free an a one year deal as he's more the sort of player we'd need IMHO. That said, we still in desperate need of some creativity in the middle of the park...

The thing with Cole is that i get the sense we could just be stumping up big wages for a "big name"... i think he could be a decent impact player, but I'm not sure he'd be great value. If... and i mean "If" there is any truth in the Murphy rumor then I reckon we'd have perhaps the strongest...

Do we have any idea when this might be sorted? Friday perhaps? To be honest I just want both Clem and Campbell confirmed, after that any more players are a bonus for us, as those two bring the squad together nicely IMHO.

Could be suggestive of both being on the way out... I mean Bruce is on record as saying that he expects both to leave for Leicester... Might mean nothing of the kind, but leaving last seasons' skipper and one of your established strikers out of that kind of exercise would suggest their both...

Did you see any of his efforts towards the tail end of last season?!:icon_eek: He's another player who's simply past it... the same goes for Jimmy Floyd, players who's past brilliance means despite their total loss of form they'll still be looking for hefty wages... and their simply not worth it!

The guy scored "a" goal last season! I'm not sure he has got the ability to do it anymore... he'd be a massive risk and would probably command massive wages, so in short i just don't think he'd be worth it and don't think anything suggests he'd be worth the cost.

Dont agree... we've got Hume, Cort and Fryatt of those the only player we can have any confidence in being consistently fit and up to par (thats not saying neither Fryatt or Cort will come up with the goods... just that we cant be certain). Beyond those three... Hammond and DeVries are off...

Not so sure that it is to be honest... still thinks he's as likely to go to Saints as us, but Burley just seems to be trying to issue a statement 'covering' himself should a deal for Saga fall through. The position Saints are in financially we should be able to better any offer they put...

You'd get Saga for less than that and a host of decent championship strikers... you wouldn’t get Earnshaw, Kamara or even Eastwood or Sharp but £1-1.5mil can get you a good striker and far better than what we've got currently, MKDons are deluding themselves if they think that anyone's barmy...

Thats a thought... there is a not insignificant Polish community in Leicester and having Saganowski playing for City could provide a pretty hefty attraction for some, I'm not saying it would sell thousands of tickets, but it would certainly appeal both to those who are Polish citizens working in...

Southampton are in pretty poor state financially, despite the money for Crouch, Walcott and Bale... they gambled on promotion this season spending £7mil last summer, their parachute payments cut out this summer and their currently losing £1mil a week (at least that is what is being reported)...
