Relive Jonathan Moss, Vardy and that Ulloa penalty

2 hour retro coverage of 2016 City v West Ham on Sky Sports 402 at 11pm tonight. Looking forward to watch some of Kante doing his thing for us again, not the kind of stuff you see in highlights of that season.

    Worst relegation season?

Thought I’d cheer us all up with a trip down memory lane and remind us we’ve had low points many times in our history. These are relegations in my time supporting City. Sorry for those of you who will remember worse, from longer ago. Which was the worst season/side? I did think of including...

    Leics County Cricket 2022

Battled to a draw today against Worcs, after being 8 down at tea (I think) and 9 down with an over to go. Behind for all of the game, but good to see us showing some spirit and looks like a fantastic century from Azad. no wickets all game for our new fast bowler Hendricks though

Speculation The hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded winter 2021/22 rumours thread

Wow, went back to September to find the previous unfounded rumour. Clearly been a quiet time for baseless speculation. An honour to start the new thread. anyway here goes https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/16712097/real-madrid-wilfred-ndidi-leicester-transfer-january/

    Next season expectations

Really hard to see how to set expectations for next season . A very likely scenario for next season is the top four reinforce themselves, and with a proper pre season basically have a top four mini league with each other by the late autumn. If Spurs get a good manager and £100m Kane cash, they...

    2021 County Cricket

Sam Evans becomes the first player to get three Championships centuries this season for Leics in a good batting performance against Surrey, Marcus Harris also getting a ton. that’s six tons so far for our players and Evans and Hill in amongst the top runscorers. Unfortunately the bowling...

    T20 Blast 2020

Foxes through to the quarter-finals after an incredible couple of wins in last two matches and three other results going our way today. Lancashire were coasting in reply to our score today too. Seeded 8th so I make it a match against Notts in the quarters

Pre Match Leicester v Aston Villa

How exciting - not started a pre-match for a while. Could be the change we need to trigger a deluge of Monday night goals. Chilwell might be out, Vardy looking positive: https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/brendan-rodgers-provides-jamie-vardy-3922735

Speculation The hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded autumn/winter 2019/20 rumours thread.

James Richardson’s podcast doing it as well, “big game for Maddison....if he has another good season he could well move to Man U in the summer”, whilst simultaneously saying that our squad is as good as theirs and that we are competing in a top six six-pointer

    Salaries

A regular point on here is that our performances are punching below our weight compared to our salary outlay. So thought I’d post this from the paper, from the “Global Sports Salaries survey”. Winter break and other changes

No mention on here of the winter break confirmed for 2019/20? Or at least the most half hearted winter break they could manage, with 10 teams getting a Saturday off one week in Feb and the other 10 the next week. Most of the bottom half manage this by not trying in the FA Cup already anyway...

    Toulon tournament

Chilwell and Gray not in the Under 21s squad for Toulon, but Harvey Barnes is. Not sure of the reason, are they now too old? Abraham and Walkers-Peters are in so it’s not an entirely experimental squad.

    Overseas TV money

    No happy medium

Nothing particularly insightful here but was just mulling over how our form has tended to fluctuate from awful to great over the past five years. Kent (h) CC match

Solid draw against Kent. Good to see some runs from most of the top order and should be a good confidence booster for the whole team. Hoggard now injured though alongside Buck, Ireland and Wyatt, so we are not going to be taking 20 wickets any time soon. A loan signing is desperately needed.
