Southampton will not win all of their remaining games, so they won't get anymore that 94 points. Based on that prediction, if we win two of our last four (and lose the other two), we are almost certainly going to finish above them - there would have to be some BIG wins for Southampton, and some...
Go back to whatever we did vs Norwich. That was a much better performance. It's bewildering to me that after seeing how playing like that ended up, we didn't just do that again. Those two away games were just dross. Like playing for a bore draw or something. Utterly bizarre approach.
It might be better to just take the points deduction now, scrape the playoffs, lose at first try, sack the manager, sack the board, get someone who plays inspiring football in, and actually start producing something worth watching.
I get it, but to call for the head of the manager whose team is top of the table would seem a bit harsh. Does anyone have any faith that he'll steer us through this rocky patch?
Bag a win, stay top, crawl over the finishing line. Buy the way, @bocadillo, in the pre-match thread for the Plymouth match, for me, the match was "tomorrow". Just saying.
Speaking of which, I had a colleague who I respected and thought had good taste in most things. Then he recommended Mrs Brown and the Boys or whatever it's called. Never has my opinion of, and respect for someone dropped so rapidly.
Of course there should be. It's so obvious. It would make the game far more fair, competitive and interesting. It would also serve as a mechanism for increased equity and equality, and therein lies the problem. It would affect the status quo, and those currently sitting at the top table aren't...
One of the many things that grates with me is that we pleaded poverty which ruffled Rodgers feathers and turned him into a whingey child as he couldn't buy any more toys. The chances are that he would have spunked more funds of dross of course, but perhaps Lookman or someone else might have...
Fatawu may as well not have been on the pitch. The general entitlement of the rest of the players stank of shit. Possession based football is loathsome unless there is an end product, and even then it's pretty cack. This is no longer a blip. It's now a deep rut that I don't believe the current...
I'm not saying he gets a free pass, I'm just trying to imagine what he's thinking. Stepping aside might, to him, feel like he's not honouring his dad, although I'd say his dad would be more proud of him doing the right thing that being foolhardy.
