i used window sound recorder with my microphone and the quality is ok but theres a hissing in the background

No need to go through your microphone. Go to your Recording Control Desk and select 'Stereo Mix', thereby unselecting your microphone.

You should then get good quality with no hiss and nothing else except what your computer is playing.

Presuming that you are using Windows of a modren sort, double-click on the loudspeaker symbol in your System Tray - bottom left near the clock.

Adjust Volume for: Recording

Click on OK

You can now select your source for recording and adjust the level and balance.
