Brought myself one of these.
Whilst using the monitor between screen changes (or scene changes during a movie) the brightness will auto correct itself. So it dims slightly and then returns to the original brightness 2-3 seconds later. This has proved to be EXTREMELY annoying and nothing I've messed about with has effected it as of yet.
Any ideas?
Google has brought up the term - "Local Dimming" and LG have offered updated firmware to similar problems on other monitors. It basically corrects the screen depending on the light in the room or something like that. But it's ridiculous to think anybody could put up with it without being bothered.
Also apparently (and I havent tried this yet as I'm at work) movie mode or game mode will turn it off but there is no manual switch to do it?
Any advice would be very helpful... and YES I've tried Pickled Onion Monster Munch.
