Confirmed Transfer Ghezzal to Besiktas

Leicester City can confirm that winger Rachid Ghezzal has signed a permanent deal with Turkish Süper Lig side Besiktas, subject to international clearance.

The 29-year-old – who joined the Foxes from Monaco in the summer of 2018 – has teamed up with the Istanbul based club for an undisclosed fee.

His City debut came against Manchester United at Old Trafford in August 2018, before going on to play a further 22 times for the Club.

He had loan spells at Fiorentina and Besiktas while at King Power Stadium, and he now leaves Leicester City with the best wishes of everyone at the Football Club.

Good luck to Ghezzal. It’s not his fault we bought him. It’s not his fault the only comparison he has to Mahrez is nationality. He’s shown in Turkey that’s he’s clearly a good player. He was just never suited to our style or to the Premier League. And that’s on us for signing him.
