To admit my bias. If I was Scottish I would have become a supporter of Scottish independence when the English voters foisted Mrs Thatcher on Scotland. Today I would feel decidedly unimpressed by the current government in London.

We can only speculate about his motives. Financially he would surely do worse under independence. Andy Murray is a wealthy man and neither Alex Salmond or Johann Lamont is likely to be as supportive of the rich as Cameron and Clegg

Incidentally my comment on Scotsmen with a grievance was not racism but merely ethnic criticism.
