Jigar Nail out for a few weeks now, following on from Hoggard, Jefferson, Buck and Dixey. Not the best of luck for a small squad. We have signed Scottish allrounder Richie berrington on loan. Don't know anything about him but not sure we have the luxury of playing two bits and pieces allrounders in him and Wayne.

I'm amazed, we're trying to set up a result today having declared our first innings.

I assume we'll get set about 360 or so in about 40 mins or so.

What the HELL was that all about??? I mean i understand the notion of trying to play for a result...but surely doing it in such a manner as to hand all the advantages to the opposition isnt really the way to go? Or are they just so used to losing that they can't actually even think of any other outcome anymore? Bizarre.

It's a fairly typical target and given the rain that have affected the competition they are looking to get a positive result - I think it's a welcome change and is the only way to climb the table.

Dagnall also said the track was pretty flat, although I still expect us to end up around 250ao!
