Strange thing is perception, I remember now thinking that we didn't play badly in a number of games that season (before the great escape) but just didn't get the results.
Yep, I agree. It was frustrating as we didn’t seem to be that far off. To me, Huth seemed to make a huge difference in our ability to see a game out.

The fact that we didn’t just stay up by the skin of our teeth, but confirming it with a game in hand, is just remarkable.
And thumping QPR on the last day after them being quite far ahead of us in quality for years was a brilliant feeling.

One of my favourite games ever. That Vardy goal prompted the wildest celebrations since the last minute goal at Forest - I ended up miles away.

That goal is a great sliding doors moment. If Vardy had missed it, who knows where we'd be now.

Now on this day. Crazy to think how late in the year this survival run actually started.

We'd already won the league before the West Ham match.

When I watch it now, that's what I think about. That all that trauma was utterly unnecessary.

I watched us win the league at Sunderland away.

I felt ill during that game. At 2-1 down I'd convinced myself we'd blown it.
