It was good to see Mongia and Sadler getting in the runs against Pakistan but I'm very disappointed we had 3 young seamers playing. I can see that Broad needs resting and will get his chance against them for England A next week. But surely we should give Griffith a run out for him to get used to the Grace Road pitch, and help ease the pressure on the youngsters playing in the side. Will do no good for them to have been carted around. The batting order only really had one youngster - Boyce - and I'd have preferred the same mix in the bowling.
I'm a great believer that the counties should help the England side by playing to beat the tourists. Someone on Sky a few weeks ago said that county sides should not get a tourist match if they are not going to play to win. I guess the old Tetley Bitter challenge was the solution - money riding on each match.
