Samsung and Dropbox bonus space

I've activated my new S3 today and Dropbox have given me an extra 50GB for a 24 month period.

Anybody know what happens at the end of the 24 months? Do they just take the space back and delete your surplus files or what? Wouldn't have thoughht so but you never know. Well, I don't anyway!

Anybody else on this Samsung/Dropbox promotion?

Your Dropbox is only a duplication of files that you hold elsewhere isn't it? As far as I am aware they cannot access your source folder(s) to delete things from it.

I think they will offer to sell you the extra space after 24 months, but it's a long way off and things will change, in 2 years time they may be offering much more space for free anyway.

Your Dropbox is only a duplication of files that you hold elsewhere isn't it? As far as I am aware they cannot access your source folder(s) to delete things from it.

A copy of your files is held on their server, on "the cloud" in wankspeak, so they could quite easily remove their version of your files and stop syncing them over devices

I realise that, it was the cloud stored files I was concerned about if my allowed space drops below my actual content size!
