Approx 90 miles - 1hr 45 mins.
M69, M6 North to J10a, M54 ....
M54 joins with A5 after J7, continue on A5 to roundabout with A49, take the first left (still A5). At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit (B4380 - Thieves Lane). Continue over the next two small roundabout onto Oteley Road. The ground will be on your left hand side, shortly before the 'Meole Brace Roundabout'
I am trying to find out wether the club will be operating the car park on match day as this is normally for permit holders only. Alternitively there is a park and ride site just off the Meole Brace Roundabout. It costs £1 per person, and also allows you to use the bus into the city centre.
Trains:
An off peak day return is £18.00
The journey is approx 2hr 20 mins in each direction.
Trains leave Leicester at 49 mins past the hour and require a change at Birmingham New Street. Shrewsbury trains Leave Birmingham New Street at 05 mins the hour.
Coming back trains Leave Shrewsbury for Birmingham at 31 & 47 minutes past the hour. Birmingham trains leave for Leicester at 22 & 52 mins past the hour.
The ground is approx 2 miles from the train station. The following buses are available from Shrewsbury town centre and they all stop near the stadium: 8, 16, 23, 25 & 544/546.
Pubs:
According to the grounds guide, The Brooklands Hotel, just off the Meole Brace Roundabout is only a 5 minute walk from the ground, and also offers parking at £5. This pub has catering on offer as well as several sport screens.
Also recommended is the Charles Darwin Pub, approximately 10 minutes from the ground on Sutton Road. This pub has free parking, and a chippy opposite.
