Straight to voicemail

I have joined the 21st century and got a mobile phone. It is not a smartphone but a dim phone - Duro 1370. My problem is that when people call me the phone does not ring but goes straight to Voicemail. Is there a simple way of solving this?

Yeah, put the sim card in.

I don't know. How do I find out and if it is how do I change that?

There should be a Menu button, then look at the settings. If you are asked for a code, it's 1234.
You can reset the phone in menu/settings/security. I would have thought that would switch voicemail off.
As a last resort you may have to speak to your service provider's helpline.

But don’t use the ‘’leave your number and we’ll call you back’’ option
