I would love us to sign Saint-Maximin from Newcastle.

When Traore leaves Wolves it will be to one of the really big clubs for a lot of money, he'll probably go back to Spain. As for Sarr, the chance for buying him for decent money was last summer.

using them as examples more than anything as to what I think we need

This is the actual “rumours“ thread, not the “which player have I just seen on telly and think we should sign thread”.

Feel free to start one, though
still about as reliable as most transfer rumours to be fair

Thanawat Suengchitthawon, 20, an attacking midfielder trained at AS Nancy Lorraine, is expected to leave France for England. The U17 international is reportedly set to sign his first professional contract in Leicester.

Franco-Thai attacking midfielder Thanawat Suengchitthawon is expected to sign with Leicester City. Selected with the French U16 and U17 teams, the 20-year-old plays in the centre and is skilled with both feet. He has never appeared in Ligue 2 with the ASNL team. So it's the Foxes who should benefit from his talent.

Some players play for England at under 17 level and never make it as professionals.

England's under 17 squad for the Eusopean Championships 10 years ago. These players should all be at the peak of their career now. Not many playing in the Premier League.

Sam Johnstone
Bruno Pilatos
Luke Garbutt
Conor Coady
Nathaniel Chalobah
Andre Wisdom
Will Keane
George Thorne
Benik Afobe
Saido Berahino
Robert Hall
Ben Gibson
Jack Butland
Tom Thorpe
Josh McEachran
Ross Barkley
Connor Wickham
Luke Williams

He's also a bit of a lightweight, quite literally. A diet of pie and chips awaits him. Reading between the lines, it seems like he's good on the ball , and with it, but winning it back and general aggressiveness are not among his strong points. But then one could have said the same of Mahrez when we signed him.Or he could be a signing for the shirts sales, albeit big shirts.... or little lettering.... or hyphenation.

To get to 20 and not been given a professional contract is unusual.

I don't know what the story is there. One report says Leicester would be his first contract, the other says he's at the end of one at Nancy. Maybe "professional" is the key word there.

Surprised how many of them I do know, to be honest.

Think ill just shorten his name to Thachittwon

' Thanawat Suengchitthawon' is not a name.
Players should be called Steve or Bob.

' Thanawat Suengchitthawon' is not a name.

Maybe it's several names in one? Like Steve and Bob at the same. You know, like you get Billybob etc.

Actually, in all seriousness, it's quite interesting... sort of. Thai surnames have to be, by law, unique to the family (no Smith or Jones equivalents in Thailand) So 'Suengchitthawon' is Thanawat's family only - you'll have to look it up yourself if you want to know where the family circle starts and ends because I don't know. But each new surname is invented, usually by stringing words together, or adding words to an existing surname to make it unique - hence the length. Apparently, they can be quite difficult for the Thai's to pronounce too - particularly if it's a totally made up surname and just chosen because it sounds nice to the creator.

The names that Thai people are commonly known by (like 'Top'), or nicknames if you like, may be anything, and have no relation at all to their 'real' first name nor surname. Parents just give them because they like the word, or what it symbolises. 'Book', for instance, is apparently a pretty common nickname given to a Thai male.

See, I told you it was almost sort of interesting.
