This may be a load of bollocks (particularly as Iborra is on the list - unless we're still paying him?)
But if it's accurate, it's no surprise that it's been difficult to get rid of some of our unwanted players...

So we’re paying Ghezzal more than we’re paying Youri? Don’t believe that for a minute.

I’ve seen that figure for Tielemans before, seems surprisingly low.
It’s not the Ghezzal element that makes me think it’s a load of bollocks, it’s, as you say, that Tielemans’ wage looks too low to be realistic.

It’s the obscure figure that attracts my attention at first. I’ve seen his wage reported in a few different places and each reports a figure of exactly £33,038 per week. It makes me wonder whether that was a figure worked out on a conversion from Euros when he first joined and has never been corrected.

Isn't it absolutely astonishing how much these men make to play football (and many, to not play football)?

I mean, when you actually step back and look at it..Matty James makes more in a week than your average teacher does in a year.

I know that's obvious and trite, but it's still absolutely ****ed.

The Tieleman's figure is low, but perhaps we did something with signing on fees and guaranteed bonuses to give us more room for financial fair play going forward.

I would also have expected Perez to be on more, but perhaps there is something similar going on.

Certainly expect Maddison, Chilwell, Soyuncu and perhaps Ricardo to be getting improved contracts soon.
