Might just be the usual media bullshit but surely this would be a massive risk by the Westham board given his track record with big budget clubs ?
a) He's never been in charge of a 'big budget' club
b) West Ham is no longer a 'big budget' club
City had a bigger budget than his previous teams did and Westham must surely have a bigger budget than he has ever worked with before.
These things are all relative though. West Ham have a small budget for the Premiership, when Holloway came here a big chunk had already gone on Martin Allen's dream team.
It's time to face up to the fact that he's a very able manager, the problems at the club were far, far greater than the management team at the time.
Sergio Hellings only just missed out on Hollands WC squad.
