Surprised by this one.

I was saying earlier, managers never seem to resign any more... then one comes along that afternoon! Assumed he was off somewhere, didn't realise they'd been doing that badly.

He's been managing in Italy at various levels for about 20 years, and if he's ever had a job more than a year then it's just the once. Almost certainly won't finish the season there. Get your money on Watford going down.

I'd read exactly the same thing. I had no idea who he was, so looked at his record on Wikipedia and couldn't quite believe what I was reading. If I was a Watford fan I would be very apprehensive about this appointment.
