There are new rules in place for loans this season. Short term "emergency" loans are no longer allowed in the Football League, so any players we send out have to be for the season, or until the January transfer window.

Callum elder has signed a new contract, to 2019, and has been lent to Brentford for the season. http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/2016-17/elder-signs-new-lcfc-deal-3214794.aspx

Hamza Choudhury is on a Season long loan deal to Burton Albion, that was mentioned in another thread, and now it appears he's signed a new deal to stay at City for 4 more years. I think this is good news as I see him breaking into the first team within the next 2 years and provide competition for the central midfield places for 2017-18 onwards.

Typical that you would be the undertaker of that joke. :icon rolleyes:

Why? Are we expecting a bid for him from somewhere?

Presumably he'll go on loan to another team who'll perhaps play him more regularly. He has only made 6 starts in the Championship this season.

Wasn't there a story in the summer that Man Utd and Barcelona were trying to get him?

Now he can't get a game at Burton so comes back to us.

Sounds like he's not quite what the hype suggested.

Sounds like you're confused with Mahrez. :p

Don't be so quick to write off these young kids.

Tom Lawrence having yet another great game. Another 2 goals today, one absolute scorcher. He's looking pretty special for Ipswich at the minute.
