Is there something up with the Agnoustics in here?

......I'll let myself out.

Wood and Knockeart have been banging in goals for fun this season, 37 goals between them. Have they improved, or is it just a feature of being in a lower league?

Would Vardy and Mahrez have 30 goals each if they were playing there this season?

Depends what effort they made.

Sam Muggleton has been signed by Gary Mills for York City

Had to look him up, no memory at all of Carl's son. Is there any academy reject who wasn't told they were "too short"? What next? Lionel Messi - how being rejected by Leicester City ruined my life?

And he made an immediate impact as York won the relegation battle with Southport 5-3
Oliver then hit the post before City made the points safe in the 78th minute following a long throw from substitute Sam Muggleton, making his debut, which Parkin simply headed in from eight yards.

I didn't remember him either, just lucky to see Leicester mentioned in the local report of his signing - I then googled him thinking "I wonder if he's related to Carl, there can't be many Muggletons."

There's been a fair few of those on City's books over the years. Jari Rantanen comes to mind, don't know why.
No way, considering that the match day programme and Mercury were incapable of typing Jari's name without referring to 'the big Finn', it's quite clear that he was from Bigfinngland.

Or was a Shark.

The hysteria about Kante is getting quite silly.

He's undoubtedly a terrific player. However, his 'genius' lies in his constant movement and positional sense. There is little more to him than that.

He will be studied and copied and he has evolved the midfield position.

But my prediction is that Kante will lose his edge quite quickly now. And when he does, he'll not be considered world class at all any more.

A bit like a band that capture a time quite perfectly but disappear into the bargain bins within a couple of years.

Usain Bolt is a 'genius' in that no-one been consistently faster than him over many years.

Maybe Kante is a genius simply because no other midfield player has his 'engine', and can keep going for 95 minutes at top speed, breaking up play. That would not be a "little more to him than that". In the same way as describing a striker who always gets every shot on target as 'that is all he does' would be.

Maybe one of the 'stat gurus' on here can point me to the statistics which would bear that out?

Mostly, I'd be tempted to disagree. His positional sense is excellent and that does make him a very special player.

However, the hype is getting quite ridiculous. We have seen that Ndidi is competiuve in that area AND scores goals. Why is he not getting a mention?
