Mahrez plays on a crap pitch, hurts his spindly little left leg and everyone is displayed that we sent the crown jewells to play at Fleetwood.

I hope he's in Paris right now with family getting some R&R after a gruelling month of football.
At least Liverpool won’t want him crocked ;-)

Like most on here, Puel has underestimated these. They’re a professional League One club, not a team of teachers and postmen.

I just hope it doesn’t lead to egg on our faces.

Yep. The defence and midfield doesn't fill me with confidence. Hopefully the forward 3 will make the difference.

The only people who may underestimate Fleetwood are the starting 11. If they turn up with the right attitude and approach they will win. Simple.

Relieved that Jakupovic has at last completed his extended induction - presumably has at last learned the players names and is looking to compete with Ben the cat Hamer. Also could be that Slimani cost too much and his wages are too high for the likes of Watford and Newcastle.

7 full internationals, 3 English youngsters and James. A very sensible and balanced selection for me.

Should be easily good enough whilst protecting/resting most of the first team.

Pleased to see Jakupovic given a game as Hamer fills me with dread. The fact that Iheanacho can't get into our second team should be a concern to him.

Thanks for clearing that one up.
Apologies. The way you were presenting Fleetwood and worrying your socks off about our massive underestimation of the mighty Fleetwood and how we may struggle without our talisman, made me think it had illuded you.

We may get beat, we may not but resting Mahrez is the correct decision.

Tbh I think that Fleetwood, if they turn up with the right attitude, are likely to win.

Spot on.

I love the way James has suffered the same ignominy as that third bloke who went to the moon with Aldrin and Armstrong in your opening sentence. Poor bastard.

I think you need to read what you have just typed. We are playing Fleetwood. Yes that is Fleetwood.

Looking at their ground can’t help but think how patronising most of the coverage is about these clubs. RL were in on the act, talking about how the “changing rooms are tiny...there might not be any hot water”

Really? For a League One side with a decent stadium?

No Vardy. I'm sure he will be more upset than we are. He's in a corporate box with his family and no doubt plenty of fleetwood top individuals too.

I once scored an own goal very similar to Dragovic’s effort. My keeper was further off the line which gave me more of a target to hit the back of the net.

Complete Jimmy big bollocks shite so far.
