Games moved for TV

No changes for April, except for the Cup semi final of course.

From the Merc:

«No TV games in April
For the second successive month, none of City’s Premier League games will be broadcast live.

Sky and BT have announced their TV selections for April and, as with March, City aren’t involved.

The Premier League have confirmed, though, that a new date for City’s postponed game against Arsenal will be announced on or around March 19.»
 
No live PL games for two months? I think that says it all about how dour we are at the moment.
 
The club should be applauded.

Clearly the fans are at the heart of everything they do and, by making ourselves too unattractive for a TV audience, we have managed to ensure normal kickoffs for the next couple of months. Bravo, I say.

If I were them I’d be concentrating on the bottom of the table considering the league has already been decided, and seeing as it’s one of the tightest relegation dogfights the Premier League has ever seen.

We’re playing 5 said teams across March and April.

That's exactly what the people on NBCSN here were saying last weekend, I wouldn't be surprised if they focus on those games in the US.
 
Agree that focus should be on bottom of table. Think it could be well over 40 still goes down this year. Can’t remember a year this nip and tuck in a long time.

Agree with the first bit and last bit, but not the middle bit... I think it will be less than 40 points to stay up.

There's currently 6 teams who will finish on under 40 points if they keep up their points per game ratio so far this season, and another 2 who would be on 40 points (or 40.7 points). And with so many teams involved, there must still be plenty of games left between those clubs.

I think 37/38 points will be enough to stay up.

They'll concentrate on TV audience size. Outside of their obligations to show each team in a certain number of matches, this will be their main focus.

Whether you or I agree with it is another matter, but that will be what they look at and the "Big 6 (™)" will attract greater viewing figures.

Yeah I don’t think it’ll be 40 at all this year. It rarely is, but even more not so this time.
