**** 'em all - the longer they take the more the price should go up as it just makes it harder and less time for us to sign a replacement or two.

I thought the same about Dougan.

The thing that keeps coming to my mind is that saying about true love and breaking up. “If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, its yours forever. If it doesn't, then it was never meant to be.” We've had what was meant to be with this bloke; it's time to let go and move on.

After everything id still be well happy if he stayed. Just a little bit of me still thinks he might. Not because he wants to but because Man City wont pay what we want. From a fans perspective id happily watch him play for us for the next 2 years before he left on a free. Thats awful business though amd will never happen.
 
It is possible that if we did not accept a 'reasonable' offer from Mahrez he might just throw a wobbly and go anywhere to get his 'freedom to ply his trade' back.

I thought the delay was hinging on the size of agent's fees?

Serious question. In most areas of entertainment, theatre, music, tennis, golf etc, the agent takes a percentage of the fee/salary he negotiates for his client, often 10-15%. So if the client is earning £10million a year, the agent may keep £1million of it, which is why agents are keen to move their players to a new team with higher salaries.

Why in football is the agent's fee an addition to a transfer fee, rather than being taken by the agent from the client's package?
 
Should be wrapped up by now.

It's clear to me that Man City don't want Mahrez enough, they have shown nothing to make me think otherwise since they have been linked.

Mahrez needs to have a long hard think about this move.

Yeah I agree. I think a lot of the rhetoric about a price being broadly agreed looks like the old Barca/Real trick of leaking stuff to the press from the Man City side (especially with the Spanish influence there). I wonder if they’re still a bit apart in terms of agreeing a fee?
