Speculation The hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded summer 2018 rumours thread.

I would expect our club’s ambitions to be a bit higher than those of considerably less well-off, arguably much smaller clubs. If you’re aiming for top six or top eight, your transfer targets shouldn’t be the same as those hoping to finish 17th, surely?
do you remember the teams that were also interested in Vardy? I don't, Mahrez? no me neither what about Kante? don't think there were any, the only question you need to ask is will the player improve us?

Fulham have just signed Seri, West Ham have signed Felipe Anderson and William Carvalho has gone to Betis. They’d rather live in a nice city than and earn a wedge while their agent works on the next move than play for the team that won the Prem a couple of years ago.

How crap must he be to be Liverpool’s 3rd choice Kepler behind Karius and Mingolet?!

There must be some numbers behind it that suggest he's good enough.

We're big on the stats and all that.

On the other hand it's hardly reaching for the stars is it?

Seri to Fulham is a huge signing for them. Unbelievable. Definitely their rich owner had a big part to play in terms of convincing him to come, their vision, huge pay packet, guaranteed starter etc plus the allure of living in beautiful West London. I assume there's l some sort of release clause for relegation and in general if a big club comes in like we had with Kante.

West Ham are a much bigger club and Anderson is an impressive signing but Pellegrini is a brilliant manager and they've signed players including Tevez and Mascherano in the past. They've also got a top stadium.

Betis finished 6th last season which could have something to do with why Carvalho signed for them, nevertheless they've pulled off a coup there.

Hopefully we can pull off a major creativeplayer going forward.

A few rumours now starting to appear on Twitter that Kasper wants to leave, and will refuse to return to training if we don't let him...

Rumours from random accounts though so hopefully no substance to that - seems out of character for Kasper I'd think - but I've seen it in a few places just now so thought I'd pass it on.
