So then, based upon the end of last season and the players we have brought in to date, what do people think our starting lineup and formation will be for the new season. After the initial sluggish start (due to players returning from the world cup) I predict the following:

Yes this is the lineup of players that need to be moved on, agreed. I noticed that you didn’t even have space to include Matty James.

Christ we have more deadwood in the ranks to clear than we did when Pearson came back to replace Sven.

I think he'll just play an innovative 10 formation with 10 players stretched across the pitch all the time moving up and down in synchronisation as necessary so that he can keep the sideways passing game going constantly all over the playing area.

That will please some on here.

And in 2017 and 2018. Whoever decided to give James a new contract after two games back from long term injury, and Ulloa a new contract considering he was nowhere near the first team, is a stark raving lunatic.

They could carry Matty James round the pitch on a diamond encrusted stretcher with an escort of golden elephants and he'd still be a bargain compared to many of the summer signings this forum has drooled over in the last three summers. With previous like that, I expect we'll have a few more we're desperate to bin come the January window.

I find it disturbing to see Chilwell's name in so many of these suggested lineups.
 
Yeah, who wants to see kids from the Youth team break in to their national u-21s and then break into our team when we can see them leave for teams that'll play them instead?
