So so sad. Life can be so incredibly cruel.

Now that’s started me off again :(

Can't quite understand what a powerful effect this has had on so many of us. In the last 3 months I have lost a brother in law, two dear friends, a cousin and two ex- work colleagues. Not to mention my dear old cat. I have reached an age where few of my friends are still around, yet this particular event has hit me bewilderingly hard. I suppose that in just a few short years this man has given us things that for over 65 years of following LCFC I could barely dream of. In an increasingly selfish and cynical world it is good to see someone who uses their wealth and position to build what he has for our club and City. I have not been able to attend more than a very occasional match since he took over the club, and I have lived the dream largely through what I read here and elsewhere, so I can only guess at how deep the impact must be for those who have seen it all first hand.

Thank you Khun Vichai for everything. May your legacy long remain with us

There's a tribute to Vichai on Premier League World BT Sport 2 at 10:30 today. Repeated tomorrow at 1pm.

Claudio has just been down to pay his respects.

When I saw he was at the Chelsea game yesterday I did wonder if he’d come up to pay his respects.

Pure class from both Claudio and Nige.

And Paul Lambert, newly appointed manager of Ipswich Town with a lot on his plate who came out of his way to pay his own tribute.
Absolutely. I have a new found respect for that bloke.

No criticism intended here, but I do find it strange that the current Manager has hardly been seen this week, and has certainly not been heard. Maybe it's affected him really badly

Press conference in a bit, so we'll see

I'm planning on running from Loughborough University to King Power Stadium on Saturday morning (~15 miles) in memory of Vichai and to sign the book of condolences. I've decided to try and raise some money for a charity that he donated so much to, the Leicester Hospitals Charity, Children's Hospital: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/run-to-remember-vichai

If you're able to share the page, I would really appreciate it. I have also tweeted about it so any retweets would be greatly appreciated:

If you see a bloke in a Leicester shirt running from Loughborough Uni, through Quorn, Mountsorrel, Rothley, Birstall, into the town and towards the stadium, give me a honk.

Claud Puel,

"All the players are devastated. All my squad was with a lot of sadness and upset about this event. It’s a difficult moment, just after the incident. Along this week, on Monday, we made a meeting at the training ground to speak, to share our feelings, it was important not to forget. Just to talk between ourselves and to share this difficult moment. We try to manage this time, just to listen."

“The first day it was just to share our soul, our pain, it was a long day and it was important to share. It was important to listen.

“They face the tragedy, all the people are different with different reactions and need different help. I was important to help them and was a good possibility to share our feelings between ourselves.

“After we met with Top, his son, his wife, we shared our feelings at the stadium. I was impressed with the strength, the dignity of his wife, of his son. I would like to thank them, they shared their soul with us like a family and after with the fans. I would like to thank them and to give them our best thoughts and to continue with strength.”

“I was in my office at the stadium, with my family, friends and my staff. We heard the news and we were devastated. We could not understand what had happened.

“We remained together a long time without the possibility to share words. It was silence. After I saw Kasper, I think he was the only player still here after the game. It was difficult, very difficult.”

“This has been without doubt one of the hardest weeks in this football club, the tragic loss of five lives has left us numb, with sadness and shock.

“Our love is with Vichai’s family and the other families who have lost loved ones.

“Vichai made Leicester what it is. He made it a family, he invested in the club, invested in the city, invested in the people. He truly was loved inside and outside the club.

“Personally it was privilege to work for him, the belief he showed in me and the great moments we shared.

“Seeing all of the messages, shirts, flowers, shows the amount of lives he touched. He leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered and a vision that the club and myself as manager will take forward.

“I have never been prouder to be manager. In difficult circumstances, the togetherness shown by everyone, has shown what a special club this is.

“The football has not been at the front of our minds, but we will play to remember the man that did so much for our club.”
