But quality and individual skill does play a part in games. XG alone is bullshit. A shot from 6 yards centre of goal with 6 defenders to block it on the line is worth more than an open goal tap in outside the box. Brighton have Maupay to sky it but we have Maddison to find a gap in tje first...
