After seeing Gillespie put in another half hearted performance, should we get rid of him or continue to give him another chance?

I think the fans said it all when he was substituted!!
 
He was just dire today. Maybe the club could ask Ladbrokes to put a betting booth in each corner of the pitch.- Its the only way he will ever try and run to the corners
 
give him some more time

he showed well pre season and early on

Gillespie was unbelievably shit today, and Scowcroft was the same when he moved to the right. Sorry "Scowcroft" but he aint good enough :eek: He cant run :eek: :x

As I posted in another thread:

If Gillespie cannot get fired up against the club that didn't want him, he does not deserve to wear our blue shirt. For a fifty-fifty ball in their penalty area he stood and watched it. All he showed Souness was why he was dropped from their team. I would rather have Tricky Trev as our wing man. He will chase, can hold it up and does not give up!
 
I may get a lot of abuse for this but i think it was disgraceful the way we (not me) booed Gillespie off!

Yeah he was pretty bad and im not sticking up for him but we have to continue to get behind the team and not boo them!

(apart from that the crowd were all amazing especially the kop and east to a lesser extent)!

i agree with you there even through he was shocking he shouldnt have got booed!
 
I really hate these people who slag off members of the team instead of getting behind them..............but Gillespie, WHAT A TOSSER!!
 
Why shouldnt he? We boo'ed Akinbiyi even though he did score 10 goals in a season in the premiership - a good record really. Gillespie doesnt even make an effort, he thinks he is bigger than the club because he played for Man Utd.
 
I have to say, I was extremely disappointed with the booing of Gillespie. Ok, he had a woeful game, but the fans should get behind the players. I have never booed the team, or any individual players in my life.
