Altrincham. who with no designated fourth official to call on, plucked a replacement, for the injured referee, from the crowd during their game with Frank's Colwyn Bay but the guy had been drinking and smelt of alcohol. So the match had to be abandoned after Colwyn Bay, who were losing 2-0, refused a replacement for the injured referee with seven minutes to go.

They state in the article that this is to reduce overheads. Surely they will have fewer things going over their heads with Howard's aerial prowess in the team. A poor move in my opinion.
