Had first game last weekend, got 48! Not a bad start... Does any1 actually play on here?

I used to be opening bowler for my school, i took 4 wickets in 2 games. I was also a rubbish lower order batsman, i couldnt see anything through that damn helmet!

But same for me, its the garden nowadays!

Start this Saturday. Only playing Sunday games this year as I cant stnd fielding for 50 overs and that is all I get to do for the First xi.

Right arm Fast bowler. (but not particuraly accurate.) Like Steve Harmison before he got good.

So what does everyone do then, im a right arm fast bowler and tailender, best bowling figures of 4 wickets for 8 runs.

as i said.

Like to give the ball a good wack,

averaged 17 and a bit with the ball and that was for 12 wickets last season.

An average of 22 with the bat aswell. which aint bad considering there were no no out in there.

all rounder! open the batting, bowl some medium pace or leg spin and can keep wicket too (if required). as captain i try not to!!

I still play the occasional game. Prefer the 15 x 8 ball or 20 x 6 ball shorter games which suit my batting style. If I had to compare myself to someone, it would be Freddie Flintoff.

When i'm in I score very quickly. My best knock was about 10 years ago when I scored 114 not out in a 50 over game. I went in at No.6 in about the 40th over. Our No.2 batsman was still in and was on about forty something. I amazingly managed to knock my fifty before he did, knocking 3 sixes and 2 fours in one over.

Played for the first time this yr on Tuesday night bowling figures of 5 overs 14 runs for 2 wickets, not a bad start.

I'm a middle order batsman nowadays, good fielder too (Jonty Rhodes like )

use to be a bowler, got trials for Leicestershire once too

play for Stoughton and Thurnby now.

Played on Thursday night in the cup figures of 5 overs for 20 runs, not bad for a one dayer. Made a couple of errors in the field, accidently picked the ball up and threw it over the boundary, christ knows how i did it. But we won in the end so it didnt matter, 3rd round of the Sheffield Cup here we come.

Another night, another game against Sheffield best team in region, i opened the bowling, not too bad figures considering they are the best, 5 overs for 19 runs, no wickets sadly but pretty tight for a 20 overs game.
