Just because King and Amartez are not good enough does not mean a player returning from serious injury, not having played top flight football for 18 months, is likely to be any better than them.

If he has been playing regularly, we might be better off with Junior Lewis stepping up to the plate!

Seriously, the world has gone completely crackers

no. That was last season. This season things have returned to near normal.

If we had recruited as we should have done in the Summer then Matty James wouldn't be near the starting line-up even if he hadn't been sitting down for the last 18 months.

Neither would Danny Simpson and we'd have two young bucks getting ready to take over the Central defence, Kanté would still be in midfield and Vardy would be at Arsenal.

Now that's just taking the piss!

I remember Jimmy Bloomfield and I remember Martin O'Neill. Unlike many I have a high regard for Nigel Pearson. However, in the nearly fifty years since I arrived in Leicester we have not had a manager anywhere near as good as Claudio,

You have to try harder to earn some proper cash. Too few words. You do not get paid for being right, you know.

Did what's his name say in the Mercury that the caller (Dick from Enderby, or whoever he was) is a well known wind up merchant.

I'd love for the guy to show some balls and a genuine understanding of our plight. He's a ****ing passenger at the moment.

I am beginning to question whether Ranieri has lost the hunger and desire himself, last seasons achievements were unbelieveable, but as a consequence has our leader reached the pinnacle. I look at our plight, picking the same players who are failing week in, week out, same tactics and formation that is churning out the same poor results. The whole club has lost its spark.

After his achievements of last season it is almost impossible to sack him at this stage but he really does need to wake up, smell the coffee and start showing he has the hunger to get us out of this decline. The club is hurtling towards relegation and humiliation, without the hint of a fight from either the management team or the players.

He is certainly protecting the players at his own expense. He has not uttered one criticism of any of them and has batted away any sense of their underachievement.

I think we're all hoping that he is hammering them in private and I fear that our future rather depends upon whether he is doing. If he isn't, it can only really be that Ranieri himself has lost something following last season.

We see the players for 90 minutes. Ranieri sees them for 15 - 20 hours in training.

It is quite possible that the 11 that start are the 11 best in training and the 11 fittest.

However I would be quite happy that for the Man City game, which we would not be expecting to win, on current form, that Ranieri makes radical formation/tactical changes to see if a different system might work such as 3-5-2. Maybe try Hernandez instead of Morgan or Huth, or even as well as. Start with 3 strikers up front. Just try something different because the status quo is not performing or producing results.

It's fair to say, I think, that Ranieri needs to earn his living at the moment. We have no idea if he can do crisis management, he needs to show us.

It's pretty much the same set of players as last year. Something has happened/ changed to disrupt the pattern. Two seasons ago, we were playing well and losing. We turned that around by staying confident. Last season we were phenomenal; team spirit kept us focused. This season, we're not even playing well. Ranieri needs to redress this somehow. That's his job... it's not just to be jolly and witty when we're winning. But I'm sure he knows that.

After the Leicester fan (or was he another wind up merchant) on 606 last night saying that Claudio should be sacked and the likes of Ian Dowie come in to save us it seems everyone and his dog are having opinions on the matter.
This one is predictable on Twitter, but what sort of callers will be on the Moan In on Monday night I wonder.
